For almost 6 years now, I have been learning all about going gluten-free. My husband has Celiac and Crohn's disease. He also has a lactose intolerance and should not have high fructose corn syrup, no fried foods, nothing considered ruffage and on and on.
I often joke that there is nothing "good" to eat at our house.
I have learned to read, no scrutinize, food labels. I seek out recipes trying to perfect baked goods similar to the real thing. And when I make my shopping list, it is not for one store, but four. Thank goodness they are all in the East End of Pittsburgh, near to my neighborhood.
I am starting this blog so that I can share with others in Pittsburgh and local area where the "good" eats are and what we like at the local stores. And for those of you not from the 'Burgh, you'll enjoy the recipes I'm sure!
So, thanks for stopping by and I look forward to sharing our gluten-free adventures with you!
